  Bella Italia is situated in the heart of Liverpool City Centre. If you want good quality food and to be able to take your time, then this is the place to go. The restaurant is often busy, even during the day time. You can reserve a table here, but if you go in without booking the staff will do their best to accommodate you.
  
  The menu has all the items you would expect from an Italian restaurant. It has a large range of pasta, pizza, antipasti, salads and much more. The food is reasonably priced and the portions are very generous.
  
  My favourite thing here is the desert menu. I have a very sweet tooth and I could not resist the Godfather desert. This was brought to me in a huge bowl with sparklers flashing away. It consisted of a huge amount of vanilla ice cream, chocolate ice cream, chocolate brownies, fresh cream and chocolate sauce. it was so unbelievably delicious and was definitely worth waiting for.
  
  The restaurant is well decorated, spacious, clean, well maintained and tidy. The staff work hard to make sure everything is perfect when you are shown to your table. The toilets are also very clean and tidy.
  
  The staff are friendly, warm and welcoming. They provide an excellent service and go to great lengths to make sure you are 100% happy with the food, drink and service at Bella Italia.

  This branch of Bella Italia is located on Ranelagh St, in Liverpool city centre, it is close to Lime Street Railway Station. As I recall, it is the only branch of Bella in the city centre of Liverpool, compared to cities such as Manchester where there are three branches, but it remains a large branch and also a decent branch.
  
  I found this place hard to find at first, of course, there'd be a struggle for me as I'm not from Liverpool so I'm not as used to the area as a local will be, living around a half hour train ride away in Manchester.
  
  The staff at this branch of Bella seemed quite friendly, unlike at previous branches where I've had trouble, they seemed to understand my gluten-free needs and reassured me it was gluten-free when presenting my food, considering I've had issues more than once and probably around FOUR times now at Bella branches where I've been served food containing gluten "by mistake", with me eating and becoming sick on two of those four times, I had to be extra cautious dining here due to the brands reputation for me, and the staff did go a long way to ease my concerns.
  
  For my food, I ordered
  Starter: Gluten Free Garlic Mozzarella Bread £6.49
  Main: Gluten Free Carbonara Pasta
  Drinks: Absolut Vodka and Coca-Cola and a Malibu and Coke, both priced at £3.49 for the alcohol, and then an extra £0.50 added on for the coke, which is quite a good price for dining out.
  
  Bella's pricing overall I found to be quite reasonable, combined with the fact that there are many offers to make it even cheaper which are easier to obtain, with Bella regularly distributing a 40% off voucher via email, as well and the fact that discounts with Voucher Codes, Tastecard and UniDays are virtually always offered from Sunday to Thursday.
  
  The quality of my drinks to start with was good, I really did enjoy the selection of booze on offer especially spirits with multiple brands of whisky, rum and vodka on offer.
  
  My food quality was also satisfactory to good, albeit my starter was a little too cheesy and some parts could have done with slightly more garlic.
  
  A similar issue arose with my main, the majority of it was good, however, some parts of the pasta tasted a little rubbery and stuck together, which did slightly ruin my dish.
  
  My friend also commented she enjoyed her chicken dish but also said it was nothing more than satisfactory/good/average, a comment I'd agree with on my food.
  
  Decent food, Decent service, Decent pricing with some parts I'd class as good, meaning a three-star rating is deserved for Bella here, in what I quite a nice branch of the chain.

  Came here twice in two weeks. The first time I had no problems which is why I came back. However the second time was ruined by the waiters attitude. We ordered two bowls of chips to share only one came. When I asked him he said "no no you asked for one " in a rude tone. Surely he should have just said sorry I will get you the other bowl ? Think your staff need more customer service training. He has put me off coming back.

  we ate here twice on our vacation while in Liverpool.Impressed with the Lasagna and other sauces. The only thing I wished was that the kitchen was a bit quicker as we experienced very slow prep time and we had shows t attend or id have given 5 stars

  Really disappointed!  I realize it's a chain restaurant but the quality was very poor!  There was hot chilies in everything except for the mushroom ravioli.  The staff explained that they don't have any control over what goes into the pasta as it's all pre-made!  The white wine was like acid.  
  
  The staff unfortunately are used to taking things back to the kitchen and try to replace your meal.  But it gets embarrassing for both customer and staff.  Staff ended up getting defensive and defended the poor quality of the food.
  
  As our last meal as a family in Liverpool it was a true disappointment with us having to send my Family member home in a taxi as they were feeling unwell after the meal.
  
  Too many good quality restaurants in Liverpool.  Won't be back to this one.
